President's Report

As I sit down to write my final President's Corner, I'm finding myself in a place I didn't quite expect: equal parts proud, grateful, and just a little sentimental.

When we launched the IFMA Permian Basin Chapter, we had a vision of creating a community where facilities professionals and industry partners could connect, learn, and support one another. Watching that vision grow into a thriving chapter has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Our membership continues to climb, we are welcoming new faces at every event, and the level of engagement across our chapter is stronger than ever.

The timing feels right to pass the torch to a talented new Board that brings fresh ideas, new perspectives, and plenty of energy to continue building on what we've started. I've had the privilege of working alongside some incredible leaders, and I couldn't be more excited to see where they take us next. If the past few years have taught me anything, it's that this chapter has never been about any one person. It's about a group of dedicated professionals who care deeply about our industry and our community.

While I'm stepping away from the President role, I'm not going far. I'll be transitioning into the role of Board Member at Large, where I'll be focusing on fundraising efforts for our partner organization, Skillpoint Alliance, and our Tool Bags for Grads campaign. After all, they haven't figured out how to get rid of me completely yet.

Thank you to every member, sponsor, volunteer, and board member who has supported this chapter along the way. You've made the meetings more engaging and the journey far more enjoyable. It has truly been an honor to serve as your President, and I look forward to cheering on the next chapter of IFMA Permian Basin from a slightly different seat at the table.

The future is bright, and I can't wait to see what's next.
