President's Report

Exciting Year Ahead for IFMA Permian Basin!

As we turn the page on another incredible year, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you for your continued support and enthusiasm. Our chapter has grown in both numbers and energy, and that momentum is entirely because of our dedicated members who show up, share knowledge, and contribute to our community.

Looking ahead, my personal goal for 2026 is to grow our membership to over 50 active members. Each new member brings fresh perspectives and opportunities to connect, learn, and strengthen the FM network here in the Permian Basin. I encourage everyone to help us reach that milestone by inviting a colleague or peer to join us. Our chapter thrives on collaboration and shared passion for the profession.

I’m also excited to share that we’ve been assigned a Chapter Champion through IFMA International! Our Chapter Champion is Kelsey Barrett, IFMA’s Manager of Membership Marketing and Communications. Kelsey will be partnering with our board to provide guidance, insights, and best practices to help us continue building a strong and sustainable chapter. We’re thrilled to have her expertise and perspective as we continue to grow and refine our impact locally.

Community Service

This year we have blessed the Basin Dream Center with donations of household goods. Here is a little bit more about them:

Mission

Our mission is to provide a safe, secure housing option for youth and young adults who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or recently aged out of the foster care system. We work to stabilize their routine and help them find hope and healing. 

Vision

Our vision is that all young people who have been exploited, homeless, or aged out of foster care are empowered to live meaningful, self-sufficient adult lives.
